Pender Island boasts some architects, builders and woodworkers who excell at their craft. The island landscape, with its rocky hills and wonderful waterfront, inspires some amazing homes. I photograph these homes for their owners and the people who design and build them. Above is an example from a series of images I made for a local architect of his own home. Most of the images were taken with a standard lens but I also took some photos using a fisheye lens so as to give an idea of the overall space. This particular image shows the stairs, which, like the flooring, are made of recycled wood.
