on my love of the music and of the wonderful graphics.
whilst in victoria, bc, today on business i browsed the record
collections of several thrift stores and returned home with a terrific
little collection of music; affirming my belief in the random chance
of thrift store shopping.
the buddy
holly cover is a delight; buddy without his trademark glasses.
the record surface is not too bad and those tunes still rock. a bit
of hiss and crackle adds perspective...
and dusty
springfield. i found two albums by her today. she had a beautiful,
soulful voice; i turned up the volume and the sound was rich and clear.
finally: the red and yellow album up top: slack key guitar

kwan, a reknown player of this hawaiian style. the album's from
about 1960 on the tradewinds label : available only in hawaii !!
