My most controversial piece... Originally made for a gallery show called Out of Bounds, I was asked to remove it after someone complained. Victoria's Monday Magazine review stated: "Out of Bounds indeed! An excellent chance to educate the public has been missed. " It then moved to the entrance foyer of Open Space Gallery in Victoria. After that it was in a few shows in both Victoria and Vancouver, where it received favourable comments, despite its disturbing subject: violence against women. In retrospect I now agree with a friend (woman) who said that such imagery tends to perpetuate negative, rather than positive, thoughts.
