Painting has never been my best medium. As much as I enjoy pushing colours around I usually spend far too much time doing exactly that and never reaching any resolution. Therefore many of my paintings get painted over or destroyed as I strive to produce something I think works.
As can be seen below my street art work influenced my painting in the 80s. However, I determined I liked street art on the street and returned to mucking about on canvas. But utltimately I find drawing, photography and mixed media work best for me.
I include these paintings because they display some of the processes I use in my photo-based work and the continuing influence of working on the street.
