Cythera - 2010
This image was inspired by a Watteau painting: Pilgramage to Cythera. Cythera, a Greek island, is one of the legendary birthplaces of Aphrodite. I first sketched my image and then used PhotoShop to fill the shapes. Finally I printed the images, cut the pieces and glued it all together.
