Yes, there really is a Magic Lake on Pender Island. However, it looked quite magical the day I took the photo of it with a sea mist blowing across it. Then I wanted play with silhouettes, so the lake made a nice backdrop. Add a Saigon pagoda, an iChing hexagram cutout, a few figures performing mysterious moves and it becomes... even more magical.
