Clayquot Sound wanders inland from the west coast of Vancouver Island. The sound, hundreds of nautical miles long, has many islands, twists and turns, making it a popular spot to explore by kayak. Once the scene of huge protests against continued logging of the huge timber it is now a destination for wilderness lovers from around the world.
