When I was young I enjoyed collaging photographic images to produce new narratives. When I started working with PhotoShop I found the tool that allowed me full rein to explore the possibilities of re-processessing images.
Some of the images below are of the more traditional 2D type, enhanced through digital manipulation. In 2010 I started experimenting with making physically layered images. These take shape as collages, shallow relief pieces and maquettes (artist models) for larger pieces I hope to make in the future (if and when I have a larger studio!). I find that constructing the 3D pieces provides me with a more physical and tactile relationship with my work; something I've missed while sitting at a computer. It has also opened up whole new avenues of exploration as to what I can do with my images.
