Manipulated 35mm Film Images

Once upon a time I spent a lot of time in darkrooms. Carrying on my fascination with collage I exposed photographic paper with multiple images and then used a grease pencil to draw on the paper, creating a unique image. Sometimes the multiple photographic images created odd bleeds and effects, adding to the mystery of the process.

A series of five images formed the Arcadia series, exploring themes of the pastoral ideal grazing up against contemporary themes of the rustic.
