I have several ways of making photographic series:
1. I purposefully set out to make a series. My photos of roadside garbage tend to fall in this category. I'll pick a start and end point and photograph every piece of garbage I see. Even in a relatively clean environment, like my Pender Island home, I'll take many photos over a short distance.
2. I'll be going through my photo catalog and notice a series of images. Sometimes it may be from a totally random collection of images, or it might be that the clouds were particularly fascinating that day. Having noticed a prospective series I may then consciously seek more images to fit in that series.
3. Or it may be I just have a fascination with something. For example: my interest in fuel efficient vehicles.
For this section of Photo Series I have tried to pick images from the above categories that do not fit another gallery (e.g. Travel - I've many photos of beaches but I think they belong with their respective countries, rather than as a series).
Currently I am far from my main collection of images - this section will be expand greatly in 2011.
