Baracoa, Cuba - 35mm film - 2001

We rented bikes while in Baracoa and one day bicycled out to Playa Maguana, a beautiful white sand beach about 25 km. west of Baracoa. The countryside's beautiful with many farms and rolling hills rising to the mountains inland. The Chinese bicycles lacked the amenities - such as a comfy seat - of our mountain bikes but they served the purpose. This we found to be the most engaging way to travel: you get to see more and exchange greetings with pedestrians and other cyclists, of which there are many.
