Baracoa, Cuba - 35mm film - 2001

We spent an afternoon hiking and exploringing in the Parque Natural Majayara which lies only a few kilometers east of Baracoa on a headland. Our guide was a farmer who lived with his family here. Not only did we visit limestone caves and caverns and take a dip in an amazing freshwater pool in one cave but he also gave us a botanical tour of the local plantlife. Here we see his son on the left and a friend.
