The Iglesia de la Popa sits on the hill rising behind Trinidad and offers splendid views over the town to the Caribbean Sea. The former military hospital is derelict with boarded up doors and windows. However locals use some of the space to garden in. Next door to the church a home holds Santeria ceremonies to which all are welcome.
